Mother allegedly watched teen daughter live-stream her suicide while encouraging her to die
As a Florida teenager in foster case live-streamed the final moments of her life before committing suicide, her mother watched her for two hours and cheered on her imminent death, a bombshell report said Monday.

A probe by the Florida Department of Children and Families says Gina Caze, the mother of 14-year-old N!!!! Venant, was among the hundreds of people who viewed the teen’s grim goodbye on Facebook Live in January.

Caze hurled insults at her own daughter through the stream, and even encouraged her to die, but never alerted anyone to help, the report says.

The new narrative contradicts the account from Caze, who gave a tearful press conference days after her daughter’s death and blamed the state’s foster care workers.

Venant moved in and out of foster care between 2009 and 2017. Her mother gave up custody of the girl in April 2016, saying she no longer wanted her at home.

According to the report, Venant lamented to Miami foster care staff in January that her mother didn’t want her back, and she feared she would “age out” of the foster care system.

On January 22, Venant broadcasted the last three hours of her life on Facebook Live. She publicly contemplated committing suicide as hundreds of viewers watched. Some of her friends saw the stream and posted comments to talk Venant out of it; other users urged her to die, insulted her and said her death wish was “all an act.”

One of those agitators allegedly was Caze, who caught about two hours of the stream.

Under the screen name “Gina Alexis,” the girl’s mother allegedly wrote moments before the suicide:

#ADHD games played u sad little DCF custody jit that’s why u where u at for this dumb s— n more u keep crying wolf u dead u will get buried life goes on after a jit that doesn’t listen to there parents trying to be grown seeking boys and girls attention instead of her books.”

The child services department received an abuse report about the mother’s post nearly three weeks after her daughter’s suicide, the report says.

An attorney for Caze called the report’s allegations “absolutely false” and said the mother only wrote the comments after the daughter died, and because she thought the suicidal stream was a fake. He also continued to blame the foster system for failing to save Venant from an early grave.

“Out of 14 placements, not one was therapeutic,” attorney Howard Talenfeld told the Tampa Bay Times.

No charges have been announced against Caze.
