We&#8217;re told they got a call that Jussie&#8217;s legal team &#8212; and possibly Jussie himself &#8212; had agreed to talk to police.<\/p>\n<p>As for the ongoing investigation into the &#8220;attack&#8221; &#8230;\u00a0<b>we&#8217;re told law enforcement believes it happened when it did, January 29, specifically because Jussie knew the Osundairo brothers were leaving for Nigeria the next day. Our sources say that trip was pre-planned, and not connected to\u00a0<a class=\"externalLink ProxyLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2019\/01\/29\/empire-star-jussie-smollett-attacked-hospitalized-homophobic-hate-crime\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-proxy-href=\"proxy.php?link=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.tmz.com%2F2019%2F01%2F29%2Fempire-star-jussie-smollett-attacked-hospitalized-homophobic-hate-crime%2F&amp;hash=f1d91bab0478567fbb3e2f1b5f03fe51\">the alleged attack<\/a>.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Also, we&#8217;re told the\u00a0<b>FBI met with the brothers Tuesday to talk about the hate mail that was sent to Jussie at Fox Studios in Chicago. The feds are checking to see if the postal stamp on the letter matches stamps police seized\u00a0<a class=\"externalLink ProxyLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2019\/02\/14\/jussie-smollett-attack-police-questioning-persons-of-interest-empire-actor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-proxy-href=\"proxy.php?link=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.tmz.com%2F2019%2F02%2F14%2Fjussie-smollett-attack-police-questioning-persons-of-interest-empire-actor%2F&amp;hash=2d007f9bce29bd1db6a801e1c30636fa\">at the brothers&#8217; home<\/a>\u00a0in Chicago.
