{"id":3599,"date":"2018-11-13T08:41:55","date_gmt":"2018-11-13T13:41:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lovepeacenslander.com\/?p=3599"},"modified":"2018-11-13T08:41:55","modified_gmt":"2018-11-13T13:41:55","slug":"british-airways-pilot-buzzed-by-ufos-over-ireland-told-its-probably-just-dustcarry-on","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lovepeacenslander.com\/index.php\/2018\/11\/13\/british-airways-pilot-buzzed-by-ufos-over-ireland-told-its-probably-just-dustcarry-on\/","title":{"rendered":"BRITISH AIRWAYS PILOT BUZZED BY UFO\u2019S OVER IRELAND, TOLD \u201cIT\u2019S PROBABLY JUST DUST:CARRY ON\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Irish Aviation Authority is investigating reports of bright lights and UFOs off the south-west coast of Ireland.<\/p>\n<p>It began at 06:47 local time on Friday 9 November when a British Airways pilot contacted Shannon air traffic control.<\/p>\n<p>She wanted to know if there were military exercises in the area because there was something &#8220;moving so fast&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The air traffic controller said there were no such exercises.<\/p>\n<p>The pilot, flying from the Canadian city of Montreal to Heathrow, said there was a &#8220;very bright light&#8221; and the object had come up along the left side of the aircraft before it &#8220;rapidly veered to the north&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>She was wondering what it could be but said it did not seem to be heading for a collision.<\/p>\n<p>Another pilot from a Virgin plane joined in and suggested it might be a meteor or another object re-entering the earth&#8217;s atmosphere.<\/p>\n<p>He said there were &#8220;multiple objects following the same sort of trajectory&#8221; and that they were very bright.<\/p>\n<p>The pilot said he saw &#8220;two bright lights&#8221; over to the right which climbed away at speed.<\/p>\n<p>One pilot said the speed was &#8220;astronomical, it was like Mach 2&#8221; &#8211; which is twice the speed of sound.<\/p>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<h2>What could it have been?<\/h2>\n<p>Apostolos Christou, an astronomer from the Armagh Observatory and Planetarium, said what the pilots saw was probably a piece of dust entering the earth&#8217;s atmosphere at very high speed.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It was most likely what are commonly called shooting stars,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It appears the matter was extremely bright so it must have been quite a large piece of material.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I cannot say from the pilots&#8217; description, but it could have been the size of a walnut or an apple.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3600\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lovepeacenslander.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/6B0F925B-FB78-44C2-9277-54A9CE9368BF.gif?resize=206%2C122\" alt=\"\" width=\"206\" height=\"122\" \/><\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Irish Aviation Authority is investigating reports of bright lights and UFOs off the south-west coast of Ireland.
