{"id":3457,"date":"2018-11-08T11:55:25","date_gmt":"2018-11-08T16:55:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lovepeacenslander.com\/?p=3457"},"modified":"2018-11-08T11:55:25","modified_gmt":"2018-11-08T16:55:25","slug":"jr-chapos-allegedly-running-biz-as-usual","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lovepeacenslander.com\/index.php\/2018\/11\/08\/jr-chapos-allegedly-running-biz-as-usual\/","title":{"rendered":"JR CHAPO\u2019S ALLEGEDLY RUNNING BIZ AS USUAL"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-3399\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lovepeacenslander.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/AED96707-523A-40E4-8C1A-11D8CEB063BE.jpeg?resize=600%2C400\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lovepeacenslander.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/AED96707-523A-40E4-8C1A-11D8CEB063BE.jpeg?resize=600%2C400&amp;ssl=1 600w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lovepeacenslander.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/AED96707-523A-40E4-8C1A-11D8CEB063BE.jpeg?resize=768%2C512&amp;ssl=1 768w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lovepeacenslander.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/AED96707-523A-40E4-8C1A-11D8CEB063BE.jpeg?w=1200&amp;ssl=1 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Mexican drug kingpin Joaquin Guzman \u201cEl Chapo\u201d Loera may be <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2018\/10\/30\/el-chapos-lawyers-fail-to-sway-judge-to-delay-trial\/\">going on trial tomorrow<\/a> in Brooklyn federal court, but the billion-dollar cartel he founded is still flourishing under the direction of his two favorite sons.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u2026 The defendant\u2019s sons remain in charge of his vast drug trafficking empire,\u201d reads a recent letter from the US attorneys preparing to try Guzman\u2019s case.<\/p>\n<p>The Oct. 28 communication to federal Judge Brian Cogan goes on to deliver a dire warning <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2018\/10\/02\/feds-warn-el-chapos-lawyer-could-get-someone-killed\/\">regarding the safety of any witnesses<\/a>\u00a0who testify against the drug lord at the trial: \u201cThere is no doubt that the defendant and his cartel have the capability, the resources and the will to harm cooperating witnesses and their families, even after they have been relocated.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Brothers Ivan Archivaldo Guzman Salazar and Jesus Alfredo Guzman Salazar have been running their father\u2019s drug empire with an iron hand while he has been in hiding and in prison in Mexico and after his extradition last year to the US.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe brothers have engaged in significant violence,\u201d said a former Drug Enforcement Administration source. \u201cThey have ambushed military people and they still have the resources to affect witnesses.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ivan and Alfredo are said to be the drug lord\u2019s favorite sons, the ones he personally groomed to take over the family business. They were born to his first wife, Mar\u00eda Alejandrina Salazar Hern\u00e1ndez, whom Guzman married in 1977 in a small ceremony in a rural town in the state of Sinaloa, in northwestern Mexico. The couple had three children, but another son, Cesar, was killed six years ago.<\/p>\n<p>Last month, Alfredo, 32, who is also known by his underworld monikers \u201cAlfredillo\u201d and \u201cJags,\u201d was added to the Drug Enforcement Administration\u2019s 10 Most Wanted List. Alfredo was indicted for drug trafficking in Illinois in 2009. The reward for information leading to his capture was recently increased to $5 million.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhy haven\u2019t the sons been whacked yet?\u201d said a federal law enforcement source who did not want to be identified. \u201cIt means they are very much in control. \u201cBut unlike their father, who believed in keeping a low profile, they are not in hiding and they love to show off.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In fact, like their young stepmother and Guzman\u2019s third wife, Emma Coronel Aispuro, Alfredo and his older brother, Ivan,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2018\/10\/20\/el-chapos-wife-is-flaunting-her-wealth-while-hes-on-trial\/\">lead a flashy, entitled lifestyle<\/a> in Mexico. Social media accounts linked to Guzman\u2019s current wife, Coronel Aispuro, 29, recently showed her posing at a lavish Barbie-themed birthday party for her twin daughters in Sinaloa. Other photos show her toting expensive designer handbags and posing in skimpy bikinis on the beach.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe whole family still controls a significant criminal network and has access to huge funds,\u201d a former DEA agent told The Post.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to Hernandez and Coronel Aispuro, Guzman was also married to Griselda Lopez Perez. He wed her in the 1980s and the couple had four children \u2014 Edgar, Joaquin, Ovidio and Griselda Guadalupe. In addition to his wives, Guzman has had several girlfriends, including Estela Pena, who initially rejected him. He later kidnapped her and forced her into a relationship.<\/p>\n<p>Another woman, Zulema Hernandez, was his lover at the Puente Grande maximum-security prison in Guadalajara. She eventually was killed by Guzman\u2019s rivals, Los Zetas.
