After some incredibly high-profile collaborations with everyone from Nike<\/a> to Ikea<\/a> in the last year, Virgil Abloh’s<\/a> label Off-White<\/a>\u00a0has been named as “the hottest brand on the planet” according to the latest edition of the Lyst Index<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

A quarterly report ranking the most popular fashion brands and products in the world, the Q3 2018 edition of the Lyst\u00a0Index<\/em> indicates that Off-White has risen 33 places to the No. 1 spot on the list. This means Abloh’s brand has pushed past Gucci<\/a>, Balenciaga<\/a>, Nike, and Prada<\/a> among many others.<\/p>\n

“Thanks to a quarter packed with globally-hyped launches and collaborations, the brand buzz surrounding Virgil Abloh and his disruptive creative aesthetic continues to grow,” explains Lyst of\u00a0Off-White’s placement in the index. “Searches for Off-White across Lyst\u2019s partner retailers are up 14% quarter on quarter, and Off-White is responsible for 3 out of 20 products in the hottest products lists. One of Off-White\u2019s biggest drivers of social engagement remains Abloh\u2019s ongoing collaboration with Nike.”<\/p>\n

In other words, Abloh’s\u00a0brand is doing incredibly well, indeed. It’s been a very good year for him overall, and not just for Off-White, either. In fact, his role as Artistic Director of men’s wear at Louis Vuitton has been well received, too. When he debuted his first-ever Vuitton collection in June<\/a>, him and long-time friend and collaborator Kanye\u00a0West<\/a> shared an emotional moment.<\/p>\n
