{"id":3004,"date":"2018-10-21T20:56:22","date_gmt":"2018-10-22T00:56:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lovepeacenslander.com\/?p=3004"},"modified":"2018-10-21T20:56:22","modified_gmt":"2018-10-22T00:56:22","slug":"chelsea-handler-disgusted-by-white-privilege","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lovepeacenslander.com\/index.php\/2018\/10\/21\/chelsea-handler-disgusted-by-white-privilege\/","title":{"rendered":"CHELSEA HANDLER DISGUSTED BY WHITE PRIVILEGE"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Far-left comedienne Chelsea Handler said her supposed white privilege makes her feel \u201cvery gross\u201d about herself, adding that her skin color and Jewish heritage has played an instrumental role in her success.<\/h2>\n<p>In an interview with ABC\u2019s Ellen DeGeneres, Chelsea Handler discussed her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thewrap.com\/chelsea-handler-new-netflix-series-white-privilege\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">upcoming<\/a> Netflix series on the issue of white privilege and what inspired her to do it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI just started to think about all the privilege I\u2019ve benefited from in this industry, specifically \u2014 being a Jew is a bonus, being a girl as a comedian when I was coming up,\u201d she explained. \u201cI had every advantage. Every door opened for me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen I started to look around at people that don\u2019t have as successful of a career or are working twice as hard to achieve the same things, I started to feel very gross about myself. On a very fundamental level, I wanted to explore it further \u2026 [starting] with my own white privilege. I\u2019ve been badly behaved for 20 years and getting tons of money thrown at me for being a loudmouth. You could say I\u2019m talented, but you could also say I\u2019m not talented.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor me, it\u2019s an important subject matter right now,\u201d she added. \u201cIt\u2019s like, \u2018What are the people that are benefiting from this gonna do about it?\u2019 And I\u2019m somebody who\u2019s benefiting from it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Handler also talked of the \u201cdepressing\u201d state of American politics, having been one of Hollywood\u2019s leading <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/entertainment\/2018\/09\/29\/chelsea-handler-rape-fine-all-white-republican-party\/amp\/\" target=\"_top\">campaigners<\/a>against Justice Brett Kavanaugh\u2019s nomination the Supreme Court.<\/p>\n<p>She described Kavanaugh\u2019s eventual confirmation as an embodiment of \u201cwhite people male power,\u201d but said that she hoped women would now pull together to deliver a crushing victory for the Democrats in the upcoming midterm elections.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor it to happen is just representative of white male power to me,\u201d she said of Kavanaugh\u2019s confirmation. \u201cIt just looks like a bunch of older white turtles and men who are 85-plus, saying, \u2018Women, you don\u2019t get a voice.\u2019 And we have to say no to that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s a really beautiful moment happening with women finally coming together,\u201d she added. \u201cWe all know now there\u2019s power in numbers and there\u2019s power collectively, so it\u2019s so important for us all to just make each other aware of what your options are on voting day. To watch over someone else\u2019s kids so they can go, to give somebody a ride. We all can just do more than we\u2019re doing.
