The 53-year-old will get credit for time served &#8212; he&#8217;s been in jail awaiting trial for around 3 1\/2 years. He&#8217;ll also be on parole for 3 years after serving his prison sentence.<\/p>\n<p>Knight cracked a joke &#8230; of sorts. Part of the judge&#8217;s instructions to the defendant include a phrase about the possibility of deportation following conviction, to which Suge said, &#8220;So, ICE can come and get me.&#8221; There was a smattering of laughter.<\/p>\n<p><i>Video to come<\/i>\u00a0&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"externalLink ProxyLink\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tmz.com\/person\/suge-knight\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-proxy-href=\"proxy.php?link=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.tmz.com%2Fperson%2Fsuge-knight%2F&amp;hash=09e14c88551495a5ead5675eed41572a\">Suge Knight<\/a>\u00a0has struck a plea deal in his murder case &#8230; TMZ has learned.<\/p>\n<p>Several sources tell us the former Death Row Records exec will be in L.A. County Superior Court Thursday afternoon to enter a plea in the murder of Terry Carter. Knight had been facing the possibility of life in prison, and his trial was scheduled to\u00a0<a class=\"externalLink ProxyLink\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2018\/09\/19\/suge-knight-trial-fatal-hit-and-run-murder-case-begin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-proxy-href=\"proxy.php?link=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.tmz.com%2F2018%2F09%2F19%2Fsuge-knight-trial-fatal-hit-and-run-murder-case-begin%2F&amp;hash=8c2bc98392aaa195cd4c070456fbb93e\">begin Monday<\/a>\u00a0with jury selection.<\/p>\n<p>We broke the story &#8230; Suge\u00a0<a class=\"externalLink ProxyLink\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2015\/03\/10\/suge-knight-killed-terry-carter-justified-threat-stand-your-ground\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-proxy-href=\"proxy.php?link=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.tmz.com%2F2015%2F03%2F10%2Fsuge-knight-killed-terry-carter-justified-threat-stand-your-ground%2F&amp;hash=6885bbda7717925971a4d6385950dd65\">ran over Terry<\/a>\u00a0back in January 2015 as he fled the Tam&#8217;s Burgers parking lot in Compton.
