Turns out Travis Scott was telling the truth. The photo that purported to show the rapper cheating on Kylie Jenner was a total fake—just as many of you suspected.

Earlier this week, a now-viral image surfaced on the internet in which a man who resembled Scott was seen cozying up to a woman who wasn’t the mother of his child. The photo featured a TMZ watermark, leading many people to believe it was legit; however, the Houston rapper seemingly denied the rumors on social media, claiming the photo was the work of trolls.

Scott was vindicated.

On Wednesday night, YouTuber ChristianAdamG posted a video in which he admitted to staging the photo in order to prove a point about the internet. He said he was inspired by that fake photo of Justin Bieber eating a burrito sideways.

“The goal of this video is not to hurt anybody’s relationship, but it is to was to see how gullible is the internet,” Christian explains. “The question is: Do the internet even care about the truth sometimes? […] I wanted to prove the point that most stories you see on the internet is almost never true. People say this, people say that. But to be honest, the lie is almost most entertaining.”

So, after studying Scott’s style and mannerism online, Christian transformed himself into the ASTROWORLD rapper. He and his team then snuck onto the hotel balcony and snapped the photos. The YouTuber did some quick edits, posted the pictures online, and watched his plan unfold.

“This is everywhere on Twitter, bro. I feel so bad sometimes. Damn, am I really messing up this n***a’s relationship?” he said in the video. “Now you all see how the world will believe something just because they want to believe it […] They don’t really care about the truth or doing the research, or anything like that. Travis Scott, if you’re watching this, forgive me, bro.”
