According to his mother, Bobby will soon be a free man.
Political prisoner Bobby Shmurda remains incarcerated in a New York correctional facility after being charged with felony criminal possession of a weapon in 2014. He was locked up shortly after his breakout single “Hot N*gga” came to light, which attributed to one of the most depressing success stories of the decade. Details on Bobby Shmurda’s status in jail have been limited, aside from occasional photo leaks.
Yesterday, the New York rapper’s mother Leslie Pollard provided fans with an update on her son’s release by writing on Instagram, “One of those mornings but the time is ticking 25 months he will be here soon.”
If her facts are right, this means Bobby Shmurda will be a free man come November 2020. This would shave two years off his original sentence, due to time served before sentencing.
