From the stage to the runway, Rihanna can truly do it all. Recently, she made the dreams of some Fenty Beauty fans come true and stepped into the roles of teacher and makeup artist.
As part of a recent Fenty Beauty Master Class held in Dubai, Rihanna gave a live demonstration of how to properly apply all things Fenty. She posted a clip from the class on Instagram, joking that she does ” gag on my own supply.”
In the brief video, Rihanna is holding the Cheek-Hugging Highlight Brush and singing its praises as she applies Killawatt Foil Freestyle Highlighter. “The brush just works for you,” she exclaims.
Showing off the proper highlighting technique wasn’t the only moment of education during the chat. According to Grazia, the Fenty Beauty founder shared a few additional secrets, including why some products take a little longer to make their debut. “Make-up is made to play with but I also take formula really seriously,” she said “I do not play with that. I will send back something a thousand times to the lab. I will promise to put something out but if it’s not perfect, it won’t come out.”
She also revealed that she’s not exactly a newbie when it comes to the world of makeup artistry. The singer shared that she used to do her own beauty while on tour. “Doing my own make-up actually helped me learn,” she said. “I made a lot of mistakes, but you practice, you figure your face out, whether my skin tone’s changing or I’m having a fat day. Make-up’s like therapy for me. You can get lost and keep doing the same thing over and over because it looks so good, then you step back and look at it. I do that.”
Rihanna also may have dropped a hint regarding some future Fenty Beauty products. She reportedly said she plans “to leave no stone unturned,” and hopes to eventually release products for our lashes and brows. In the meantime, we have four new shades of Stunna Lip Paint to hold us over.
